Kawachi Group, Mumbai

We are over in Borivli East, specifically at Nav Ratna Apartment on Asara Colony Road in the Dattapada area. It’s a bit of a residential feel around here, which is nice compared to the more hectic parts of Mumbai. Kawachi Group has been based in this apartment building for a while now. Number 7 is where you’ll find us. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, but it’s a familiar route for everyone who works here. The office is basically a converted space that fits our team and all our equipment. It’s quiet enough during the day that we can actually get some work done without too much distraction. We aren't some huge conglomerate with a lobby and security guards at every door. It’s more of a local operation where we know the neighbors and the guy who sells snacks at the corner. The rooms are a bit tight when we have a lot of stuff coming in, but we manage. Most days involve a lot of logistics and talking to people on the phone. We try to keep things tidy, but with papers and samples everywhere, it’s a bit of a challenge. Dattapada is a decent neighborhood to be in. We just go about our business, handle the daily grind, and try to finish up before the evening trains get too crowded. It’s a practical place for us to be located.
