Down here in Bhuleshwar, things are always moving fast and it’s always loud. We’re in the Hingwala Building on Cawasji Patel Tank Road. It’s a crowded area, but we’ve managed to stay here for a while now. We deal with fencing. It sounds simple, but there are a lot of types like chain link or barbed wire that people need. We spend a lot of time out at sites measuring plots or checking walls. Mumbai is a tight city, so everyone wants to mark their territory or keep things safe. We keep a lot of our supplies nearby. It’s not a glamorous business at all. Our hands usually have some scratches from the wire, and we spend a lot of time in the sun. We aren't some massive corporation with a call center. You just call us or come to the building and we talk about what kind of fence you need. Sometimes it's for a small garden, other times it's for a big industrial area. We've done work all over Charni Road and beyond. The traffic around here is a nightmare, so we try to head out early to get to the jobs before the roads block up. We just focus on getting the poles straight and the wire tight. That’s really all there is to it. We use decent materials that can handle the Mumbai rain, which is important because the salt in the air eats everything. We’re just local guys doing the work.
