You can find us over in Kalbadevi, specifically on the first floor at room number ten. It’s right beside the Shreeji Society, which is a big enough landmark that most people don’t get lost trying to find us. The stairs up to our floor are a bit narrow, so it’s always a bit of a struggle when we have to move the heavier fire extinguishers or equipment up and down. Kaushik Fire Appliances is basically just a small team of us who know a lot about fire safety and the gear that goes with it. We spend a lot of our time checking valves, refilling tanks, and making sure all the hoses are in good shape. It’s a bit of a dusty job sometimes, but someone has to do it. The room we are in isn't very large, so it’s usually packed with red cylinders and boxes of spare parts. Kalbadevi is always noisy and crowded, so there is always something going on outside our window. We don't really have a showroom or anything fancy. People just come in because they need their fire stuff sorted out, and we help them with it. It’s pretty straightforward work. We’ve been at this for a while now, and we know most of the shopkeepers around here. It’s just a regular business doing regular things to keep things safe, one extinguisher at a time, and we try to do it right without making a big deal of it.
