You can find Karnataka Soaps & Detergents Ltd at 01/02, Vasant Vihar, right on Sant Gadge Marg. This is in Dadar East, and if you know Mumbai, you know that Dsp Road is always humming with activity. Our office here is pretty straightforward. We have got two units on the ground floor which makes it easy for moving things in and out without having to deal with elevators. The area is quite central, so we get a lot of people passing by on their way to the station. Being in Dadar means we are right in the middle of everything, but it also means the traffic can be a nightmare in the evenings. Inside, the office is filled with the faint scent of sandalwood and soap, which is actually quite nice compared to the exhaust fumes outside. We have got a few desks, some old-fashioned wooden cupboards, and a lot of samples lying around. The staff here has been around for ages, and we all know how the daily grind goes. We are not a corporate office with glass walls and fancy carpets. It is more of a traditional setup where people talk to each other across the room rather than sending emails from two feet away. We just focus on our daily tasks, keeping track of the inventory and making sure the supplies are moving out to the shops. It is a busy life in Dadar, but we are used to it by now.
