Kamal Tools

Kamal Tools is located right by the Masjid. Being so close to the mosque means our daily routine is often marked by the calls to prayer, which gives a nice rhythm to the day. The shop itself is a bit of a tight squeeze. We have shelves reaching up to the ceiling packed with all kinds of tools and hardware pieces. It’s the kind of place where you have to know exactly where you put something six months ago or you’ll never find it again. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy displays. Most of our regulars are local workers and neighbors who know they can just stop by when they need something specific for a job. The floor is concrete and there’s usually a bit of dust from the street blowing in through the open door. We spend a lot of time helping people find the right wrench or drill bit and talking about whatever projects they are working on. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when a few people come in at once, but we manage. We’ve been at this spot for a long time now. It’s a small operation, but it’s ours, and we take pride in just having what people need when they are in a hurry. You might have to wait a minute if we are looking for something in the back, but we usually find it eventually.
