Prime Optics

Prime Optics is situated at No. 398/ D in the Bhatia Mahajan Wadi on Kalbadevi Road. This part of Mumbai is very traditional and has a history of trade that goes back a long way. Our shop is nestled among many other old establishments in the Wadi. We deal with all kinds of eyewear and optical lenses. The shop has a very classic feel to it, with wooden cabinets and glass display cases that have been around for many years. It isn’t one of those high-end boutiques where everything is white and sterile. We have a lot of frames on display and it can take a bit of time to look through them all. Kalbadevi Road is usually very crowded with people shopping for textiles and other goods, so the atmosphere is always energetic. We spend our time helping people find glasses that fit them right. We don't use any promotional language or big slogans to get people through the door. Usually, people come to us because their parents or grandparents did. We value that kind of long-term connection with the neighborhood. The lighting in the shop is simple and we keep a small area in the back for testing. It’s a straightforward business where we focus on the task at hand. We’ve been at this spot on Kalbadevi Road for a long time and we enjoy the daily bustle of the market.
