Our place is right on Kalbadevi Road, which if you know Mumbai, is one of the busiest streets you can find. It’s always noisy outside with the honking and people shouting, but that is just the vibe of the market. We have been operating from here for a good amount of time. The office isn't very big, just enough space for the staff and some stock. We deal with various things depending on what our customers need that day. Most of our neighbors are also traders, so there is a lot of back and forth between the shops. It’s a very old part of the city. The stairs are narrow and sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. We don't have a big shiny sign or anything. People mostly find us through word of mouth or if they’ve been coming to this lane for years. It gets really crowded during the festival seasons, and sometimes it takes forever just to walk to the end of the road. We usually have tea delivered in those small glass cups twice a day from the stall downstairs. It’s a simple life here. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just running the business and making sure the orders are filled correctly. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we are too busy to bother with that right now. It is what it is.
