Our office and production is on the 4th Floor of the Kishore Building at Plot No. 521. Being up on the fourth floor means we have to use the lift or the stairs a lot, which can be a real pain when we have big rolls of fabric coming in. Casablanca Apparels Pvt. Ltd. is basically a big room full of sewing machines and cutting tables. There is always thread on the floor and the hum of the motors in the background. It is a busy atmosphere with people talking over the noise of the machines. We make all sorts of clothes here. It gets a bit chaotic when a big deadline is coming up. We don't have a fancy showroom. We just have racks of samples and boxes ready for shipping. The Kishore Building is right in the middle of a crowded area, so parking is always a headache for us and the visitors. We don't spend money on expensive ads. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they have seen our name on the building outside. The lighting isn't great, but we make it work. We have got a mix of experienced tailors and younger helpers. We just try to get the stitching straight and the sizes right. It is not a high-fashion world here, it is just about getting the garments finished and out the door on time.
