Kachabo Gums

Our office, Kachabo Gums, is at L/3 in the APMC Market 1, specifically in the Masala Market, Sector-19 in Vashi. If you’ve ever been to the Vashi market area, you know it’s a chaotic place full of trucks, loaders, and the strong smell of spices. We deal in various types of gums and seeds. Our unit is basically a shop and a small warehouse combined. We spend the day talking to traders, checking the quality of the incoming sacks, and weighing out orders for customers. It’s very loud outside with all the shouting and the horns honking all morning. Inside, it’s a bit calmer, but we’re always moving heavy bags around. We don’t have a big corporate team with managers. It’s just us and a few helpers who handle the heavy lifting and loading. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep our energy up. The market opens very early, so our day starts while most people are still sleeping. We don’t bother with fancy displays or showroom floors. The product is what it is. We show the samples to the buyers, agree on a price, and get everything loaded onto the tempo. It’s traditional trading at its core. We’ve been in the Masala Market for a long time and we know the rhythms of the place. It’s a tough environment but it’s where the real business happens. We just stick to our corner and keep our customers happy with what we provide.
