K. Wadia & Co.

Grant Road is always moving, and we’re right in the thick of it at number 324. K. Wadia & Co. has been part of this street for a long time. The shop has that old-school feel to it, mostly because we haven't changed much over the years. We still have the same old counters and the floors have seen a lot of footsteps. It’s a busy place. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough space for all the things we have, but we manage to fit it all in. We aren't the type to put up big neon signs or try to grab everyone's attention. Most of our customers come because they've heard about us from someone else or they've been coming here for decades. We deal with things carefully. It takes time to do this kind of work, and we don't like to rush it just to get more done. The traffic outside can be pretty loud, especially in the evenings, but inside we just keep our heads down and focus. It’s a family-run sort of vibe here. We know each other's habits and how the day usually goes. No one wears a suit, and we don't have fancy titles. We're just here to work and make sure the customers get what they came for. It's a lot of manual work, but it's what we know how to do best in this little corner of Grant Road.
