K Raheja Universal Santacruz Mumbai

Our small office is actually in Room No 2 on the ground floor of Rajive Niwas in Shastri Nagar, Dombivli West. Even though the name is K Raheja Universal Santacruz Mumbai, this is where we are physically located for now. It is a very modest setup. The room is on the ground floor, so we see everyone walking past the window in the chawl. It is a very local vibe in Dombivli. We have a couple of desks pushed against the walls and a lot of paper files piled up. It is not the kind of place you see in movies. It is just a plain room where we do the work. The trains are quite close, so you can hear them rattling by every few minutes. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing things down in ledgers. Since it is a ground floor room, it stays a bit cooler than the upper floors, which is nice in the summer. We don't have any fancy signs, just a small nameplate. The neighbors are mostly families, and they are used to us being there. We keep to ourselves and focus on the daily chores of the business. It is a long way from Santacruz, but this is where the desk is. We show up, put on the fan, and get to work until it is time to catch the train back home in the evening. (251 words)
