We have been sitting in this office at 3C/301, Devratna Nagar for a while now. It is right there on S.M. Road in Chunabhatti. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy it gets around here. Our desks are usually piled with papers and the tea guy comes by twice a day. It is not some fancy glass building you see on TV. It’s just us doing the daily work. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but we are used to it. The windows look out toward the street and you can hear the horns all day long. We started small. Just a couple of rooms and a lot of long hours. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we see each other at the station too. It is a tight space, but it works for what we do. We don’t really go for big speeches or fancy posters on the walls. Mostly just calendars and a few old photos. Staying in Chunabhatti keeps us close to everything that matters. Sometimes the rain gets a bit much and the road gets messy, but that is just part of being in this city. We keep the lights on late most nights because there is always something left to finish. It’s a simple setup really. No one wears ties unless they really have to. We just show up, do the job, and head home to our families. It is steady work. We like the local shops nearby too.
