K M George Memorial

We are located in Malad West, specifically over at Lower Kahrodi. It is at Maharastrachawl No: 2, in Room No: 5. It is a small space, but it has been enough for our needs. K M Thomas is the person who looks after everything here at the memorial. This whole neighborhood is very crowded and full of life all the time. We have been in this specific room for a long time now. People living in the local chawls know exactly where we are if they need to stop by. It is a very simple setup we have. There are no big signs or bright lights to show the way. Just a door and some old chairs for people to sit on. The whole thing is about keeping the memory of K M George alive. We do what we can from this small corner of Mumbai. Usually, things are pretty quiet unless we have a meeting or a visitor who wants to talk for a bit. Mumbai is a very fast-moving city, but inside this room, things feel a bit slower and more peaceful. We try to keep our records organized in a few old cabinets. Sometimes the heavy rains in Mumbai make it hard to reach us, but we stay open as much as possible. It is just a local place for the community to gather. We do not have a big budget or anything. Just the room and the people who come.
