Our place is in Navi Mumbai, over in Sector 19 of Airoli. We are based out of the Naramada Society in apartment A-405. It might seem a bit odd to have a ready-mix concrete business run from a residential building, but it works for us. We spend most of our time out at the actual sites or checking on the trucks, so the office is just where we handle the billing and the schedules. Airoli is a busy hub these days with all the tech parks, but we are more about the grit and the building materials. We have got a small crew that knows how to handle the concrete mix so it stays right even in the Mumbai heat. Traffic is usually our biggest headache, trying to get the mixers to the site before the stuff starts to set. We do not have a big reception area or a secretary. Usually, it is just one of us answering the mobile while we are on the move. We have been doing this long enough to know which roads to avoid during rush hour. It is hard work and your clothes always end up dusty, but it is what we do. We just keep the deliveries moving and try to make sure the customers are satisfied with the load they get. There is no point in making it sound fancier than it is; we just provide concrete for the local builders.
