Our office is tucked away in the Charkop area, specifically at 74-A in the Government Industrial Estate. It is a bit of a drive to get out here to Kandivali West, especially when the rains start and the roads get messy. The building itself is pretty plain, just a regular industrial structure like the others on this lane. Inside, we have our workspace set up where most of the daily activity happens. It isn't a quiet place because there is always some noise from the neighboring units or the sound of the workers moving things around. We spend most of our hours sitting at the desks or checking on the inventory in the back. The lunchroom is small so we usually eat at different times. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve stayed in this spot because it works for us and the space is enough for what we do. It’s not one of those shiny showrooms you see in the malls. It’s more of a practical place where the real work gets done. There are always stacks of papers that need filing and a few boxes waiting to be taped up. We know the security guards at the gate and the guys who deliver the water bottles. It feels like a small community inside this estate. Most days are just about finishing the tasks and heading home. We just keep to our routine at 74-A and try to get things done right.
