You can find us at Gala No. 8 in the New Masjid Lane, right across from the M. K. Brothers Industrial Estate. We are situated in the Jarimari area along the Kurla Andheri Road, which is always packed with trucks and traffic that never seems to stop. Our workshop is where we spend our time making different kinds of springs for various uses. It’s a noisy place with the sound of metal bending and machines thumping all day long. The floor is usually oily, and we have to be careful where we step so we don't slip. We have crates of steel wire and finished springs stacked up near the entrance, ready to be picked up. It’s a practical workspace, not a place meant for visitors to sit and have tea. Most of us have grease under our fingernails by the end of the shift, and that's just normal for us. We check the tension on the springs by hand or using the old testing rigs we've had for years. The air smells like oil and hot metal, which is something you just get used to after working here for a week or two. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we have multiple orders going at once and the materials haven't arrived on time. We just keep our heads down and get through the production list as best as we can. It’s honest work, and the machines keep us busy from morning until night in Jarimari.
