Jainam Electronics is located on Lamington Road, which is pretty much the main hub for the electronics trade in Mumbai. Our office is at 2C, Amba Bhavan, on the first floor. If you head down Tara Temple Lane, you will find us easily enough. It’s a very busy spot and there is always some kind of noise or activity going on right outside the door. Inside, we try to keep things a bit more organized, though there are always boxes of motherboards or rolls of cables lying around on the floor. We’ve been operating from this same spot for years. It’s not a big corporate setup with a lot of hierarchy. It’s more of a family-run feel where everyone just knows what they need to do to get through the day. We talk to a lot of different people every day, from young students looking for project parts to big companies needing bulk orders for their offices. Sometimes the heavy rain in Mumbai makes things difficult and the ceiling leaks a little, but we rarely close. We aren't big on marketing or having flashy neon signs. Our name is just painted on the door and that’s about it. We just focus on getting the right electronics to the people who are looking for them. The stairs in Amba Bhavan are quite narrow, so moving heavy stock up and down is always a bit of a challenge. We just take things one day at a time here.
