Jain Maitri Associates

Our office is up on the first floor of the 4-B/2 building in New Sindhi Colony. If you are familiar with Sion in Mumbai, you might know it’s right opposite the Gurukrupa building, which is a big local landmark for anyone trying to find us. Jain Maitri Associates has been running out of this space for quite some time. It is a typical Mumbai setup where space is tight but we make it work for everything we need to do. The stairs are a bit narrow and the neighborhood is usually bustling with people going about their business. We spend most of the day dealing with paperwork and talking to people who drop by. It’s not a corporate skyscraper or a glass building, just a normal room where we get our tasks done. The colony itself has a lot of history and we feel like part of the furniture here now. Being on the first floor means we hear the street noise, but it also makes it easy for folks to just walk up and see us without needing an elevator. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and someone will look up from their desk to help you out. It’s a very hands-on environment. Most of us have worked together for years, so the atmosphere is pretty casual but we stay busy with the daily grind that comes with working in Mumbai.
