If you come down to Shop No 7 in Kini Compound, you’ll find us surrounded by bits of metal and the smell of engine oil. Jai Santoshi Maa Auto Parts is a small shop in Dahisar where we keep all sorts of spares for cars and bikes. It’s not a very clean place because of all the grease, but we know where everything is. The shelves are packed tight with boxes, from tiny bolts to larger components that take two people to lift. We spend our time looking through catalogs or checking the back storage for a specific part someone needs. Being near the Western side of Dahisar means we get a lot of local mechanics and people trying to fix their own vehicles. We don't do the repairs ourselves; we just provide the parts they need to get back on the road. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door, so we have to move the stock around to keep it dry. It’s a simple business. We talk to the same delivery drivers every week. There’s no fancy waiting room or air conditioning here. It’s just us, the parts, and the customers. We try to be helpful when someone isn't sure what they’re looking for. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but we manage to find what's needed most of the time.
