S. S. Brothers Bag

S. S. Brothers Bag is located on Byculla Station Road. We are in the Gaikwad Compound in Byculla West. It is right near Jacob Circle. If you know Mumbai, you know how hectic this area is. It is always moving. There are people everywhere and the noise from the trains is constant. We are used to it by now. The compound is a busy place with lots of small businesses. We make bags. All kinds of bags. They are stacked up high in our unit. Sometimes it feels like the bags are taking over the space. We have sewing machines going for most of the day. The rhythmic sound of the needles is the soundtrack to our lives. It is a family thing, really. We have been doing this for years. The air in the shop smells like fabric and thread. We don't have a showroom. Our customers know where to find us in the back of the compound. You have to navigate through some narrow lanes to get here. It is not the easiest place to reach, but we like the community in Byculla. Everyone helps each other out. If we run out of something, the neighbor usually has it. We don't spend money on fancy lights or decorations. We just focus on the stitching and making sure the handles are strong. It is simple work but it requires a lot of attention. We take our time with it.
