The office for J. M. Mehta Travel & Tour is located at F-16 in the Shree Parshwa Industrial Estate on V.P. Road in Thane. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by small workshops and factories rather than high-street shops. It is a busy office where the phones are usually ringing with people asking about flight schedules or visa requirements. Our desks are often covered in stacks of passports, application forms, and printouts of travel itineraries. It’s a lot of detailed work and we have to be careful about checking all the dates and names correctly. The building itself is quite standard for this part of Thane and doesn't have much in the way of decoration. We have a small area where clients can sit if they come in person, but most of our work happens over the phone or through emails. The commute can be a bit of a challenge because of the traffic on V.P. Road, so most of us try to get in early. For lunch, we usually bring food from home and eat together in the small pantry area. It’s a very grounded atmosphere where everyone knows their job and just gets on with it. We’ve been at this same address for a long time now and have seen many businesses around us come and go. It isn't a flashy place, but it is where all the planning for people's trips and tours gets done every day.
