We operate out of 5/19 in the Sopariwala Building, which is located on Chunam Lane in Grant Road East. It’s an old building, but it has character and it’s served us well. Being in Grant Road, there’s always a lot of energy and noise from the streets. Chunam Lane is narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze getting things in and out. Inside the office, it’s mostly tables covered in electronic parts and testing equipment. We’ve been here for a long time, and the walls are covered with old calendars and notes we’ve scribbled over the years. The paint is peeling in a few spots near the window, but the structure is solid. It’s not a shiny tech office you’d see in a magazine. It’s a place where people actually sit down and work on circuits and boards. We have our regulars who know where to find us in the building. Sometimes the elevator is slow, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. It’s just how it is. We deal with various electronics and try to keep things organized, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. It’s a small operation, but we stay pretty consistent with our hours. People in the building know us as the electronics guys. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but we’re still here in the same spot, doing the same kind of work every day without much fuss.
