J. B. Industries

You can find us over at 1st Khetwadi Lane. We actually have two spots, Shop No. 2 and Shop No. 10, both in the Badrikashram Building. It’s a bit of a squeeze moving between them, especially when the lane is full of carts and people. J. B. Industries has been operating out of these shops for quite a few years. It’s a lot of metal and parts everywhere you look. We don't have a front desk or anyone to greet you; you just kind of walk in and find one of us near the back. The building itself is old and has that specific smell of grease and cold metal. Most days are spent looking through bins for the right size bolts or checking the inventory against what we sold the day before. It’s dusty work and your hands are never really clean. We usually have the radio playing in the background, though you can barely hear it over the noise from the street. We get all sorts of people coming through the door, some who know exactly what they need and others who just bring in a broken piece of machinery and hope we have a replacement. It’s just basic shop life, nothing fancy about it. We close up when the light goes, and we do it all again the next morning. It is a crowded part of town, but it suits what we do here.
