Ispat Industries

Our place is in Karavi, which is near Gadab in the Pen taluka. Being in the Raigad district, we are tucked away a bit from the main city rush. At Ispat Industries, we just handle our daily business from this location. It’s a quiet area mostly, but we keep busy with the work at hand. Most of our days are spent checking on the stock and making sure things are moving along. The post office at Gadab is our main link for mail and such. It’s a local operation, nothing too complicated. We like the pace here in Pen. It allows us to focus on the work without too many distractions. Raigad has a lot of history and we feel like a small part of the current landscape. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just work with iron and steel and whatever else is on the schedule. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get slow during the monsoon, but that’s just life in the district. We’ve stayed in Karavi because it works for us. It’s where our roots are for this branch. We know the neighbors and they know us. It’s a straightforward way of living and working. We just get on with it every morning after the local bus passes by. There is a sense of calm here that you don't find in the bigger towns. We just take care of the inventory and the local orders as they come through the gate.
