Iris Design Concept Mahalaxmi

We operate out of 5/1 Rewa Apartment on Bhulabhai Desai Road. It’s a well-known area in Mahalaxmi, right across from where Cadbury House used to be. The building is one of those older Mumbai structures with a lot of character. We’re in the Breach Candy neighborhood, so it’s a mix of residential and small offices like ours. The space inside is basically an apartment that we've turned into a design studio. It’s got high ceilings and those old-style windows. We have some drafting tables and computers spread across the rooms. It’s usually quiet here, which is good for the kind of work we do. You can hear the cars on the main road, but it’s more of a hum. We don't have a big sign outside, so people sometimes miss the entrance to the building. There’s a small kitchen where we make coffee. We don’t really do formal presentations here. Usually, we just sit around the table and look at sketches or plans. It feels more like a home than a workplace sometimes. The light coming in through the windows is nice in the afternoons when it hits the wooden floor. We’ve been at this address for quite some time at Iris Design Concept Mahalaxmi and like the neighborhood. It’s a steady place for us to focus and get through the designs we need to finish for the week. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the drawings we have in front of us.
