If you know where the Famous Studio is in Mahalaxmi, then you’re pretty close to where we are. We are in Nirmal Kendra, units 602 and 603, just off Dr E. Moses Road. It’s an interesting part of Mumbai with a lot of history in the film and photo world. Our space is filled with camera gear, lenses, and photography equipment. Since we are Inter Foto, we deal with a lot of professional photographers and hobbyists too. The office is a bit of a mix between a warehouse and a service center. There are boxes stacked up and some testing stations set up near the windows. The road outside is always busy, and you can hear the city noise all day long. We have a few technicians who are really good with their hands, taking apart lenses that cost more than a car. It’s a specialized kind of work. We aren't into big sales pitches or fancy marketing. Most people find us because they need their gear fixed or are looking for something specific that’s hard to find elsewhere. We’ve been in this building for quite a bit, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a lot. It’s a solid place to work, even if the commute through Mahalaxmi can be a bit of a struggle during rain. We just keep our heads down and focus on the equipment. It’s about being precise and getting things right for the people who trust us with their gear.
