Industrial Exports

Our place is over at Dalal Estate in Bombay Central. Specifically D/2. It’s an old building, but it does the job for us. Being so close to the station means there is always a lot of traffic and noise coming through the windows. We spend a lot of time packing boxes and checking lists every single day. Industrial Exports is basically a lot of crates, tape, and bubble wrap. We send stuff out, sometimes far away, sometimes just nearby. The office part is quite small, mostly just a desk with too many papers piled on it. We’ve been using P. O. Box No. 4660 for ages. The postman knows us very well by now. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans running full blast. Sometimes the trucks can't find the entrance because the estate gate is a bit hidden behind the main road. We have to go out and wave them in. It's not a shiny showroom. It's a place where work actually happens. We deal with different parts and components. Sometimes things get delayed at the port or the paperwork gets confusing, but we sort it out eventually. We’ve been in this spot for years. You get used to the rhythm of the trains nearby. It’s just us here, doing the shipping and making sure things get to the right address. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is kept in the back.
