We’ve been here in Wadala for a long time now. It’s mostly just us working on engines and trying to keep up with all the new car models that come out every year. The shop gets pretty dusty because of the traffic outside, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. I started Indo Motors because I liked messing around with machines when I was younger, and eventually, it just turned into a job. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea, but then other days everybody shows up at once wanting something fixed right away. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. Just some chairs and a lot of spare parts lying around the corners. It can be a bit messy, I'll admit that. My cousin helps me out with the paperwork, though he’s not very good at filing things where they belong. We mostly deal with local folks from the neighborhood who know where to find us. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a few of us trying to make a living and getting our hands dirty every single day. Sometimes the parts take a week to arrive and we have to tell the customers to wait, which they don't always like. But we do what we can with what we have here in Wadala. It’s a decent life, honestly, even with the noise and the grease that never really comes off your fingernails.
