Indian Wax Industries

Indian Wax Industries operates from the ground floor of Mahavir Darshan. We are at unit number 3, 14/16 Bhandari Street. It’s a very busy spot, right across from the Masjid Post office. You can always hear the noise from the street—horns honking and people shouting. Inside our space, there’s usually a faint smell of wax and a lot of boxes stacked up. Since we are on the ground floor, it’s easy to move things in and out, which is good because we do a lot of that. The space is a bit cramped because we try to keep as much stock on hand as possible. My desk is tucked into a corner near the back, where it’s a little quieter. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big sales team. Usually, it's just me or one of the guys handling whoever walks in. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and trying to get things delivered on time. The floor is concrete and shows the wear and tear of years of dragging heavy bags around. We’ve got a small stove in the back to make tea, which is pretty much the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t do any promotional stuff. People just know we are here at Bhandari Street and they come by when they need something. It’s just a basic business where we work hard and keep things moving.
