Indian Overseas Corporation is located at 29 Abhechand Gandhi Marg in the Masjid Bunder area. If you’ve ever been to West Masjid Bunder, you know it’s a place that never really stops moving. The street is always loud with the sounds of carts and trucks being loaded. Our place is right in the middle of all that chaos. We spend our days managing the stock and talking to the transporters. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things. We don’t use much high-tech stuff, just a lot of hard work and making sure we know where every box is sitting. The office part is small and usually smells like the tea we drink while going through the delivery notes. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to stop. We’re focused on the daily grind. Usually, someone is shouting something down the stairs or checking the weights on the scale. It’s a busy life here. We don’t have any fancy brochures or big speeches about what we do. People come to us because they know where we are on Abhechand Gandhi Marg. We just handle the goods, check the counts, and get them shipped out. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping an eye on the clock to make sure things go out before the market closes for the day.
