Imtiyaz Ahmed & Co is located right on L.B.S. Marg in Kurla. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy this area gets. It is always noisy outside with the traffic and people moving around, but inside our place, it’s a bit more settled. We’ve been in this 400 070 zip code for quite a while. The office is just a regular setup with old wooden desks and stacks of ledgers. We do a lot of traditional work here, so there is always someone writing something down or looking through old files. It’s not a high-tech startup feel; it’s more of a solid, old-school business vibe. The windows look out onto the street, so we see the city changing every day. Sometimes the heat in Mumbai gets to be a lot, but we have a couple of fans that keep things moving. We handle a lot of different clients and they usually just drop by because they’re in the neighborhood. It’s a lot of face-to-face talk. Kurla is a central spot, so it makes sense for us to stay here even if the rent goes up. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to do our work well and keep our heads down. It’s a lot of routine, but that’s how we like it. Most of the guys have been working here for years. We just take things one day at a time.
