Imporafrica Grupo

We spend most of our time here at Room No. 10 in Regina Mary Chawl, over in Jawahar Nagar. It’s a busy spot in Khar Road East. If you know Mumbai, you know how it gets around here with the trains and the constant crowds. Imporafrica Grupo is just a bunch of us handling stuff that comes in and out. We mostly deal with things moving between continents, especially toward Africa since that is where the name comes from. It’s not a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. We have some desks, old files, and a lot of tea being made throughout the day. People drop by, phones ring constantly, and we try to keep track of every shipment. Sometimes the monsoon makes the commute a total nightmare, but we still open the shutters every morning regardless. It’s a bit cramped in this chawl sometimes, but it works for what we do. We’ve been here a while now, seeing the neighborhood change around us year after year. The chai wallah downstairs knows exactly how we like our tea. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few people who know the trade well. Dealing with customs and logistics can be a real headache, but it’s what we know. Most days are just about checking papers and making sure things are moving. It’s honest work. We don't spend much on decor because we're usually too busy on the phone. That's just how it is here in Mumbai 55. We just get on with things.
