Image Photo Albums

Image Photo Albums is tucked away on the first floor of the Arvind Commercial Building. We are over in the Sun Mill Compound in Lower Parel. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know it’s always on the move. There are old mills and new offices all mixed together. We like being here because there’s always something happening right outside the door. Our workspace is filled with stacks of materials and finished albums waiting to go out. It smells a bit like glue and paper in here, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We aren't a high-tech lab or a flashy studio. It’s more of a workshop where we put things together by hand. We spend a lot of time making sure the pages are straight and the covers fit just right. Sometimes the machinery we use makes a bit of a racket, but that’s just part of the process. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby with magazines. Usually, you’ll just see one of us coming out from the back with dusty hands to say hello. It’s a practical way to work, and we prefer it that way. Being in the Sun Mill Compound means we’re surrounded by other people just trying to get their work done too. We’ve been here at number 5 for quite a while and it feels like the right place for us.
