You can find Il&Fs Property Management Serrvices Ltd over at Room 6 in Gangurde Chawl. It’s right on Parsi Panchayat Road in the Pumphouse area of Andheri (East). This part of Mumbai is always crowded and noisy, but we like it here. The office is small, just a room really, where we keep all our files and tools. We don’t have any polished corporate stuff going on. It’s just us doing the daily work of managing properties. That means a lot of walking back and forth to different buildings in the heat. We deal with the vendors, talk to the tenants, and try to keep the buildings from falling into disrepair. It is a hands-on job, so we aren't at our desks much. Sometimes the paperwork piles up, but we’d rather be out fixing a gate or checking a water pump. Andheri is a tough place to get around, so we spend a lot of time in traffic or on foot. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just look after the buildings. If a resident has a problem, they come to the chawl and tell us. We listen and we do what we can to fix it. It’s not always perfect, and sometimes things take time, but we are honest about it. We’ve been here for years, just doing our bit in this busy corner of the city. We keep it simple and stay focused on the work.
