Our office is at 7 Crescent Chambers on Tamarind Street, right in the Fort area of Mumbai. The building is one of those old-fashioned structures with high ceilings that you find all over this part of the city. Iko Nippon Thompson Co Ltd has been based here for a long time, dealing mostly in bearings and other essential machine parts. It’s a busy neighborhood where the streets are always full of people and the sound of traffic is constant. Inside the office, things are much quieter. We spend our days handling paperwork, taking orders over the phone, and coordinating with the warehouses. We don't have a modern glass-and-steel office; it’s a traditional workspace that feels lived-in and practical. The staff here has a lot of experience with the technical side of the parts we sell. We aren't the type of company to use a lot of marketing fluff or have big promotional events. We just focus on getting the right components to the people who need them for their machinery. Working in Fort means we’re in the middle of all the commercial action, which we like despite the crowded sidewalks. We just keep a steady pace and make sure our records are in order. It’s a straightforward way of doing things that has worked for us for many years. We don't see any reason to change it now.
