Iit Delhi(Doing Masters In Geotechnical&Geoenvironmental Engg)

Our group is basically Iit Delhi(Doing Masters In Geotechnical&Geoenvironmental Engg) and we are over in Mumbai at the Basant Bahar building on Juhu Tara Road. It’s a busy part of Santacruz West, especially with the beach so close by. The office isn't anything special to look at, just 31/C in a regular old building. It’s a bit cramped with all the maps and soil reports we have lying around everywhere. We spend most of our time looking at data or drafting things up. The salt air from the ocean probably isn't great for the electronics, but we make do. It’s a loud neighborhood with all the tourists and traffic, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We aren't a big firm with hundreds of employees. It's just a few of us working on engineering problems and trying to figure things out. Sometimes the rain gets really bad during monsoon season and we have to worry about leaks, but that’s just Mumbai for you. We don't bother with fancy decor or anything like that. We just need enough light to see our work and a decent internet connection. People come and go, mostly colleagues or students, and we just keep the door open. It’s a practical place for people who just want to get the job done. We don't try to be anything more than a small, focused team working out of a coastal city apartment.
