Our operations for Iit Bombay are based out of Room No A112 in Hostel 13. It’s not your typical office space. Since it’s a hostel room, space is very limited. We have our beds on one side and our work desks on the other. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have all our equipment out. There are wires running across the floor and stacks of books everywhere you look. We don’t have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to knock on the door or find us in the hostel mess. The atmosphere is very informal and a bit chaotic at times. Being in a hostel means there’s always noise from the corridors, people talking or music playing. We do all our brainstorming and technical work right here in this room. We don't have any corporate branding or a professional image to maintain. We’re just a few people working on projects while we’re still students. Most of our work happens late at night because that’s when it’s easiest to focus. We eat most of our meals at the hostel canteen and often bring tea back to the room while we work. It’s a very practical, low-cost way to get things started. We don’t have fancy office chairs, just the ones provided by the hostel. It’s a simple, honest setup where we focus entirely on the work we are doing.
