Ideal Impex

Our office is over in the Vijay Chamber building, right on the third floor. If you know where Dreamland Cinema is on Tribhuvan Road, we are basically right across from there. It is a busy part of Grant Road, lots of traffic and people always moving. We’ve been operating Ideal Impex from this spot for some time. The stairs up to the third floor can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens more often than we would like. Inside, it is mostly just desks, stacks of paperwork, and samples of what we are importing. We spend a lot of time on the phone or responding to emails about shipments. It gets loud outside with all the horns and the street vendors, but you stop noticing it after an hour or two. We handle a lot of logistics stuff, making sure things get from the port to where they need to go. Sometimes the paperwork gets messy and we have to sit late to finish the filing. It’s just me and a couple of others here. We eat our lunch at the desks and keep things moving. There isn’t anything fancy about the way we work. We just try to get the counts right and make sure the boxes are labeled correctly before they leave. It is a lot of back and forth with the customs agents and the transport guys. That is our day, every day, and we just keep at it.
