Iamar Paints & Allied Industries

Iamar Paints & Allied Industries is located at No.20 in the M.M. Industrial Estate over in Yediur. You can usually tell you’re getting close because the smell of resin and pigment is pretty strong in the air around here. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always noisy with trucks coming and going at all hours. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the walls are covered in splatters of different colors from years of mixing and testing. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s a working factory, so you can’t expect it to look like a showroom. We spend a lot of time checking the consistency of the batches and making sure the drums are sealed up properly before they get loaded onto the lorries. The guys on the floor know their stuff, even if they don’t say much during the shift. We’ve got a small office tucked away in the corner where the paperwork gets handled, but most of the action happens out by the mixers. In the summer, it gets pretty hot under the tin roof, so we keep the big fans running all day long. It’s steady work, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We make paint and related products, and we’ve been doing it long enough to know the quirks of the machines. It’s a bit of a squeeze when new supplies arrive, but we manage.
