I R A Band

I R A Band is located inside the Municipal Building on T H Kataria Marg in Ghatkopar. It’s an older kind of building, but it suits us just fine. We spend a lot of our time there practicing or getting our gear ready for the next gig. Being in Ghatkopar means we are right in the thick of things. The Municipal Building is a landmark that most people around here know. We’ve been a part of the local music scene for a long time. It isn't always easy keeping a band going, what with all the scheduling and equipment to move around. We have a space in the building where we can make some noise. Sometimes the neighbors might hear us, but that’s just part of being in a band. We don’t have a polished office with fancy furniture. It’s a practical room filled with instruments and cables. We picked this spot because it was central for everyone. T H Kataria Marg is a busy street, and there is always something going on outside. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising. We just play our music and let people find out about us that way. It’s a local operation run by people who genuinely like what they do. We’ve stayed in this building because it has become a second home to us. It isn’t perfect, but it is where we do our best work.
