Our office is located at Unit 102 on the first floor of the multistoried building inside SEEPZ-SEZ in Andheri East. Working inside the SEEPZ zone is a bit different because of all the security and the gates you have to pass through. It feels like its own little world in here. The building we are in is quite large and there are many other companies around us. We have a standard office setup with rows of desks and some basic equipment. It’s not very fancy, but it gets the job done. The air conditioning is usually running full blast because it gets quite stuffy in the afternoons. We have a lot of people working here, so there is always the sound of typing and low conversations going on. Most of us have been working here for a while, so we know the local food spots inside the zone pretty well. The morning commute into Andheri can be tough, especially during the monsoon season when the roads get flooded. We just deal with it like everyone else. Our days are pretty structured, but we still find time to joke around or talk about the weekend. There’s no big mission statement on the wall or anything. We are just here to work and earn a living. It’s a busy place, but we manage to keep our heads down and stay productive. Most of the desks have little personal items like photos or small toys.
