Hpcl, Mumbai

Our spot is out in Kalyan West, specifically in Wayle Nagar. If you know the area, you know Neelkanth Park. We are in Building 11, specifically Flat Number 101 on the ground level. It’s a bit of a trek if you’re coming from central Mumbai, but for us, this is home base. Hpcl Mumbai operates out of here and it’s a standard residential setup converted into our workspace. It’s actually quite nice because we don't have to deal with the madness of the main city center every day. Kalyan has its own pace and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of this neighborhood. The flat is usually full of files and people on the phone. We don’t have a flashy sign outside or anything, just a small nameplate so people know they’ve found the right door. It gets a bit crowded when everyone is in at the same time, but we manage just fine. We’ve got the local shops nearby for lunch and the commute isn’t too bad for those of us living nearby. Living and working in the same general area makes things a lot easier for the staff. We don't spend hours in traffic which is a huge relief. Sometimes the trains at Kalyan station are running late and that throws our morning off, but we just make tea and wait for everyone to arrive. We just focus on our daily chores and keep the operations running from our corner in Neelkanth Park. It’s a practical way to work.
