Down here in Mumbai Central, things are always moving fast. We are up on the 14th floor of the building called Central Avenue on Dr D.B. Marg. Being on Floor 14 gives us a bit of a distance from the street noise, though you can still hear the city hum if the windows are open. Mumbai is a busy place and this area is no different. Our office at C-1403 is where we spend the bulk of our time. It is a standard Mumbai office space, a bit tight but we have made it work for us. We deal with the chit funds and the paperwork that comes with it every single day. The elevators can be a bit slow during lunch hours, so we try to plan our trips downstairs. We have got our desks lined up and the computers are usually humming along. It is a lot of numbers and names to keep straight, but that is the job. We have been in this spot for some time now. Outside, the traffic on Dr D.B. Marg never really stops. It is good to be right in the middle of everything in Mumbai City. We are just a group of people working hard in a high-rise, making sure everything is recorded properly. No one here wears fancy suits unless there is a big reason to. We just show up and get through the list.
