Hms Exports is situated at 26, Veena Beena on Guru Nanak Road in Bandra West. It is a very busy spot and there is never a quiet moment outside on the street. The building itself, Veena Beena, has seen better days, but it serves us well for our daily work. Our office is on a street that is always full of people shopping and cars trying to move through the narrow lanes. We have piles of samples and stacks of boxes everywhere because of the export work we do. It feels a bit crowded sometimes, especially when a new shipment arrives and needs sorting. We have a couple of desks and some old chairs that aren't the most comfortable in the world. We drink tea from the local vendor a few times a day to stay alert. It is a very local way of working for us. There is no fancy lobby or receptionist here. You just walk in and you are right in the middle of the boxes and papers. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just manage the exports and hope the logistics go smoothly. The walls have some old calendars and notes stuck to them with tape. Bandra is a vibrant place, and we are just a small part of that energy. When we finish for the day, the street is still buzzing with life.
