Hitankshi Glass House

You can find us at Grant Road, right in the Shakti Sagar building at Shop No 1. It’s a small shop but we stay pretty busy most days. Working with glass is always a bit of a tense situation because things can break or crack so easily. We have stacks of heavy glass sheets leaning against the walls. You really have to watch where you're stepping when you walk inside. We spend most of the day cutting glass to very specific sizes. The sound of the glass cutter is something you just get used to after a while. Grant Road is a loud area anyway, with all the cars and people constantly passing by the shop door. We’ve been here for a good long while. People from the nearby apartment buildings come in when a window breaks or if they need a new mirror for the bathroom. It’s dusty work despite what people think about glass being a clean material. We have a few guys who handle all the heavy lifting because those big sheets are no joke. Sometimes we are out fitting glass into new window frames or fixing up old storefronts nearby. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical shop front where people can see what we are doing. It’s a simple life, just measuring, cutting, and making sure the edges aren't too sharp for anyone to touch. We take things one day at a time here.
