Our workshop for Hi-Peak Wood Art is located on Film City Road in Malad East. We are right across from Sudha Hospital, in the Gokuldham area. If you come by, you’ll probably smell the sawdust before you see the sign. We spend most of our time cutting and carving wood. It’s a messy job. There are wood shavings all over the floor and the machines are quite loud. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s mostly just where the work happens. Malad is a busy place, and Film City Road always has cars and buses zooming past. Being near the hospital means it’s a busy landmark for people trying to find us. We have various pieces of wood stacked against the walls, waiting to be turned into something. Our hands are usually rough and covered in fine dust. We don't wear suits or anything like that. We just wear our work clothes and get on with the carving. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we have a big order to finish. We take our breaks when we can. The noise from the traffic outside blends in with the sound of our saws. It’s a practical, hardworking environment. We focus on the wood and the tools. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out. Woodworking is what we do, and we stay busy with it.
