We are located at No. 91 in the Peerbhoy Building. It's on Shamaldas Gandhi Marg, which is always humming with activity. We've been trading from this spot for quite some time. The building has that old Mumbai feel to it, with high ceilings and thick walls. We deal with various goods, mostly trading and supplying different items to local businesses. It's not a glamorous job. Most of our time is spent on the telephone or writing out invoices by hand. We have piles of ledgers and samples everywhere. It’s a bit of a squeeze when a new shipment comes in. We don't have a website that’s updated every day or a big social media presence. We just rely on the people we've known for years. The area around Shamaldas Gandhi Marg is great for business, even if the parking is impossible. We usually have tea delivered from the corner shop in the afternoons. It's a small team, just a few of us who've worked together for a long time. We don't use fancy talk. We just tell you what we have and what it costs. It’s simple and straightforward. Sometimes the fan in the corner squeaks, but we’re used to it. It’s just how things are here. We keep the doors open and stay busy with whatever the day brings. We've been here through the monsoon rains and the summer heat, just doing our daily trade.
