We are based in the 402 Sunderam building, which is part of the 3A block in the Raheja Complex. It’s right there in Malad East, Mumbai. If you’re driving on the Western Express Highway, you’re basically right next to us. The TOI press is a big landmark nearby that we use to tell people where to find us. Being in Mumbai means everything is fast. The office is usually humming with the sound of the city and the traffic from the highway outside. We handle a lot of the administrative work for Hindustan Copper Ltd from here. It’s a different world compared to the mines in Rajasthan or Jharkhand. Here, it’s all about phones, computers, and meetings. The Raheja Complex is a busy spot with plenty of other businesses around. We take the lift up to the fourth floor every morning and get to it. The space is a bit cramped, like most Mumbai offices, but we make it work. Lunch is usually something quick from a nearby stall or a dabba. It’s a practical office for a practical business. We don’t have time for a lot of fluff. We just need to make sure the logistics and the coordination are handled so the copper gets where it needs to go. It’s a lot of coordination and paperwork, but that’s the reality of a big company’s city office. We are just a group of people doing our jobs in the middle of the Mumbai rush.
