Hincon House is where Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd. is based in Mumbai, right on LBS Marg in Vikhroli West. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy LBS Marg gets with all the traffic and the noise. The building is our main base and it is always humming with something going on. It is not a quiet place, but then again, nothing in this city really is. We have people working on all sorts of different parts of the construction business here. Some are looking at drawings, others are on the phone with vendors, and there is always someone coming or going from a meeting. The lift is sometimes a bit slow and the lobby can get crowded, but we make it work. It is a functional space where we handle the bigger side of the operations. Despite being in a big city, the office feels like a place where real work happens, not just a bunch of people in suits sitting around. We have coffee breaks in the local stalls nearby when things get too hectic. The Vikhroli area is pretty central for us to get to our projects across the city. It has been our home for quite a while now. We deal with the usual Mumbai stuff like the rain and the humidity, and it just becomes part of the daily routine. It is just a place where we put in the hours and try to keep everything moving forward without getting too distracted.
