Hindustan Cargo Ltd.

Over at Hindustan Cargo Ltd., we are located in the 400083 area of Mumbai. This part of the city has a lot of industrial feel to it, which fits what we do. We deal with cargo, the big stuff that doesn't fit in a regular mail truck. It's about heavy loads and organizing trucks and large containers. Our office is a bit dusty sometimes because of all the activity around here, but that is just part of the job. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers and warehouse managers. It’s a lot of coordinating schedules and hoping the roads aren't too blocked up. We have been working in this field for a long time, so we’ve seen how things have shifted from old-school paper logs to computers. We still keep some paper around though, just in case. It’s a practical business. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or big signs. We just focus on getting the cargo moved. The people here are straightforward. We have our lunch together most days and talk about the local news or the cricket scores. It is a decent place to work if you don't mind a bit of hard work and some long hours when a big shipment comes through. We are just a local Mumbai company doing what we know how to do, which is moving heavy things across the country. It’s a living.
